Ok, so work got in the way. But here we go:
Day 11: Dreams. Riley dreams of one day having his own horse. He’s saving up for one..
Day 12: Eyes. You needed to get a close up on your loved one eyes.

Day 9's prompt was “passions and hobbies” This one was kinda tricky. In the end, however, Riley’s passion for horses has been an on going thing since he was about 2 (ok, he was a few months from two). I honestly thought that he would grow out of it, but no so much.
This is Riley with some of his “herd”. He loves his toy horses, riding horses, reading about horses.
Day 10 was where they feel comfortable. This was another tricky on for me. Plus everyone has been sick, which makes my brain not work so well. Then this morning when the two older kids were snuggling in our bed, it dawned on me:
This is where they feel the most comfortable! Snuggled up with Mommy and Daddy, watching some random cartoon. Life is sweet.
R made me a valentine. He never has before. He wasn’t a kid that was into painting, drawing or cutting. Kindergarten has been a true growing adventure for him. I can’t believe the changes in him! It’s been quite the adjustment having him gone all day. But he is much sweeter with me and his sisters now that he isn’t stuck with us all the time! He cut out the heart, colored it and glued it. There is also a sweet note (that I can almost understand) inside:
Today I had fun with cute high school students. It was tons of fun! I’ll post some of the cute individual poses I captured latter, But I thought the group shoot turned out pretty good.
Generations.
This summer while my hubby studied for the Bar exam (yuck) I spent the time with my grandparents. The day we left we took this cool picture:
This is a four generation picture. My grandma, mom, me and my girls! Yes the lighting is a bit harsh, but I wanted to capture this time with them!
My other submission for this topic was taken a couple of months ago:
This is most of my cousins, aunts, and uncles on my dad’s side of the family. It amazing to me how a family can grow from just two people to this!
What they LOVE. I thought about this… and the first thing that came to mind was: BUNNY! Life is just not good without Bunny. Little E got bunny at build a bear workshop when she was about 6 months old. It just kinda hung out in her crib. When we moved her from the crib to a big bed, the bunny came too. Bunny hadn’t become “BUNNY” yet. He was just always there in her bed so we moved him there. Then when baby B wanted to come early and the doctors put me on bed rest for 2 weeks, my wonderful in law took Little E and R. The kids stayed at grandma’s house for almost 2 weeks. Bunny went with… and became security. And thus, when baby B was born so was Bunny!
Today prompt was “Love to hate!” My mind went right to my sweet hubby. He is the most supportive guy, and loves me dearly. But there are two things that I love/hate about him… the computer and da piles! We fight over who has the computer. Not fight as much as whenever I want to use it, it always seems he is on it. I LOVE that he can pretty much fix most of my computer problems, and helps me tons. But sometimes… lol.
And then there are the piles… it is an up hill battle to keep our home de-cluttered. And I am to blame too. But that was the very first thing that bugged me as a newly wed. There were piles everywhere. I guess if that is the only thing you have to complain about, things are really very good! I love my sweet, and am so grateful for his support in all the craziness that is our life! I am learning to live with the piles!
Today’s assignment was “Then and Now” I can’t think of a more dramatic one then our little E. She started out so small and sick. And you would never know that now! The picture on the bottom made me think of an angel.
The subject today is “look”. The assignment said to think about how your love looks. For me little E often like a little princess. She LOVES to dress up and put on crowns. Little B wanted in on things too, and she looks so cute today, I just couldn’t resist shooting her too! Plus I had found this dreamy light. I LOVE little B’s face in the second picture! I guess she was done!
So I found this website the other day. She was offering a free class. Each day was a new assignment. I was intrigued. Couldn’t hurt, right? So today was the first assignment. We are to photograph our loved one in “what they DO”. Hmm… So I grabbed my camera and my sweet little E. I took her over to our back door (which happens to be a sliding glass door) and found some BEAUTIFUL light.
Her favorite thing in the whole wide world is her bunny. OK, maybe that was a misspelling… Her best friend in the whole wide world is Bunny. And what does Bunny and E love to DO best?
She LOVES to draw and paint with her art kit. She will happily do this for hours.
Saturday was a blast. I went with my dear photo buddies Erin and Celise to a fun photo shoot set up by a local photographer named Chelsea. It was so much fun! There were three very sweet models to play with. I had fun with the sweetest little girl named Macaiah first. She was amazing. Her skin just radiated. She looked great smiling or serious. Not bad for a little girl who was just 8.
The other set of models were a young couple. They were a lot of fun too. I was really pleased with some of the interesting poses and shots I got of them.
I really like this last picture. I find it interesting. And the fact that you can see her reflection in the background, I don’t know just tickles my eye. It was so much fun to play with my new lens. No pressure, just a bunch of photo bugs out for a day. Thanks guys!
